Scholarship competition – Entrepreneurship in Oncology (CEO)

(English guideline and application form available on the right side of this page) IRICoR and Oncopole are joining forces again this year to launch the third edition of the Entrepreneurship in Oncology (CEO) Fellowship Competition, offering up-and-coming scientists the opportunity to develop their entrepreneurial skills, in addition to their academic ones.

Up to ten scholarships will be offered to recipients to participate in the Life Sciences Entrepreneur Development Program.

WHY JOIN THE PROGRAM?

This hands-on, immersive training program, the result of a partnership between Montréal InVivothe Université de Montréal Faculty of Pharmacy and the Concordia University John Molson Leadership Centrein collaboration with TransMedTech and IRICoRwill familiarize you with the stages in the development of an innovative company, from the laboratory to the market, through current management models that apply to both the research and commercialization stages of innovation.

CANDIDATE ELIGIBILITY

  • Doctoral candidates (3rd cycle)
  • Postdoctoral fellows
  • Young researchers (max 10 years in post)

All candidates must be affiliated with a Canadian teaching or research institution at the time of application.

BURSARY AMOUNT

  • Full program registration fee of $5,890 + taxes.

In addition, candidates residing outside the Montreal metropolitan area may be reimbursed for part of their travel and accommodation expenses incurred by participating in the program.

IMPORTANT DATE

Deadline for applications:November 15,2019, 5:00 p.m.

  • The program is structured in 10 intensive 2-day modules (Friday and Saturday, once a month, courses given in Montreal) from February 2019 to January 2020, so that you can gradually apply the concepts you’ve learned to the challenges you face every day.
  • What’s more, by taking part in this second cohort limited to around 30 candidates, you’ll be working on a concrete project with other participants from different backgrounds, enabling you to forge links with different players in the life sciences sector.
