Génome Québec, Oncopole and IVADO join forces to launch the DOCC – Omics Data Against Cancer Competition. The competition is open to researchers in Quebec.
Detailed guidelines and application forms will be available in December 2019 on the Génome Québec website(Competition section). This competition will fund projects aimed at leveraging omics data using artificial intelligence in the field of cancer.
Projects must lead to concrete deliverables that contribute to patient well-being. Each of the partners has committed $500k to the competition, representing an investment of $1.5m, while the budget per project will be $200k to $300k over a 2-year period. Génome Québec will manage the applications, which include the submission of a letter of intent, the filing of a complete application and the evaluation of the application by the Fonds de recherche du Québec. Submission of the full application is scheduled for March 2020.
