The new version<\/strong> published on October 24th, 8pm<\/strong> is the only valid version. <\/p>\n Description of the competition (D\u00e9tails du concours en fran\u00e7ais<\/a>)<\/strong><\/p>\n Oncopole<\/a>, the MEDTEQ Consortium<\/a>, the TransMedTech Institute<\/a> and the Cancer Research Society<\/a>, in partnership with FRQS<\/a>, proudly join their strengths to launch this competition to support innovative projects for medical technologies in oncology with high potential for commercialization. Each project should also include an industrial partner(1)<\/sup>.<\/p>\n Type of projects<\/strong><\/p>\n The type of medical technologies eligible for this competition comprise diagnostic technologies<\/strong> (biomarkers and others), imaging and simulation<\/strong> (diagnostic, surgery and others), information and communication technologies<\/strong> (mobile applications, big data applications, personalized medicine), rehabilitation technologies<\/strong>, enabling technologies<\/strong> (bioMEMS, biomaterials, etc) and other cutting-edge technologies. The competition is open to all types of cancer<\/u>.<\/p>\n Competition objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2013 Accelerate research and development, validation and market access for new medical technologies in oncology<\/p>\n \u2013 Have a real impact for the health of patients<\/p>\n \u2013 Help commercialize Quebec innovations in medical technologies<\/p>\n Eligible projects<\/strong><\/p>\n Projects will have to focus on specific clinical needs in oncology and will span from the stage of \u201cformulation of the technological concept\u201d to the stage of \u201cverification in a relevant environment\u201d (TRL2 to TRL5)(2)<\/sup>.<\/p>\n Grant amount<\/strong><\/p>\n The total budget for the proposed projects will have to be between 460 K$<\/strong> and 700 K$<\/strong>, according the TRL level of the project and its eligibility of TransMedTech funding(1)<\/sup>.
