Created by CQDM, Diazon Pharmaceuticals, Oncopole and Mitacs, the Gordon Shore Award is aimed at recent graduate students whose thesis demonstrates excellence in life sciences research. A 6-month post-graduate internship worth $24,000 will be offered to each winner at participating Quebec companies: SpecificiT Pharma Inc, Immune Biosolutions Inc and IMV Inc.

To be eligible, candidates must reside in Canada (temporarily or permanently) and have submitted the final version of their thesis within one year of the date of application. The Gordon Shore Award granting organizations, in collaboration with private enterprise, will select the best candidates from across the province of Quebec according to two main criteria:

1) the excellence of the applicant’s academic record;
2) the candidate’s complementarity with the profile sought by the company.
