QUEBEC CITY – Merck Canada has joined forces with the FRQS to create “Oncopole”, a new research, development and investment hub designed to accelerate the fight against cancer on all fronts. This innovative and structuring partnership is off to a solid start, with Merck having pledged to contribute $15 million to its financing over three years.

Unveiled on February 15, 2017 in Quebec City in the presence of numerous representatives of the Quebec government, the FRQS and Merck Canada, Oncopole aims to unite all stakeholders and players active in the fight against cancer around common strategic objectives, placing patients at the heart of its actions. Over the past year, more than 50 experts have worked together to set up the organization, whose operating budget will be managed entirely by the FRQS.
