Oncopole, the cancer division of the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS), and its partners Merck Canada Inc, Glaxo Smith Klein (GSK), Pfizer, the “Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie”, and with the collaboration of the “Programme québécois de cancérologie” of the “Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux”, are pleased to announce the results of the 3rd edition of Priorité Patient competition.. Priorité Patient competition.
The purpose of the competition is to fund applied research projects in real contexts designed to improve the care and service experience and quality of life of cancer patients and their loved ones.
Funded projects provide health and social services professionals, managers, decision-makers and community groups with the tools they need to implement new practices for the benefit of cancer patients and their loved ones.
The three winners of Priorité Patient 2023-2024 competition:
– Principal investigator: Karine Bilodeau (Université de Montréal). ÉTAPES-Onco: Structured support from diagnosis to the end of treatment by accompanying patients in hemato-oncology
– Principal investigator: Sophie Lauzier (Université Laval). For inclusive oncology care: Improving the care pathway and experience of sexual and gender minorities.
– Principal Investigator: Sylvie Lambert (McGill University). The right support, at the right time, to the right person: Implementing stepped care in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation program for head and neck cancer survivors following radiation therapy.
