ACCES-Onco 2023 results

Through the ACCES-Onco competition and an investment totalling over $1.5 million thanks to a public-private partnership between the MEIE and Merck Canada, in addition to support from the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation, Oncopole announces the funding of six research projects. Piloted by teams in Quebec, they will accelerate optimal care for cancer sufferers. The aim is to develop access to treatments, care and services to prevent, detect and treat cancers.

Accelerate treatment and follow-up of triple-negative breast cancer patients. Principal investigators: Benoit Paquette (Université de Sherbrooke) and François-Michel Boisvert (Université de Sherbrooke)

Towards personalized breast cancer care trajectories based on patients’ risk and needs: a feasibility and acceptability study. Principal investigator: Hermann Nabi (Université Laval)

Co-ACTIF: Evaluation of the implementability and preliminary effects of a multimodal group tele-rehabilitation program for cancer patients and their caregivers. Principal investigator: Isabelle Doré (Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal)

Teleconsultation-based virtual follow-up of cancer patients receiving compressed cancer treatment: an evaluability study essential for optimizing access to care. Principal investigator: Dominique Tremblay (Université de Sherbrooke)

Improving the long-term health of adolescents and young adults with cancer through a multimodal lifestyle intervention: learning from Covid-19 and mitigating its impacts. Principal investigator: Valérie Marcil (Centre hospitalier universitaire Sainte-Justine)

Adherence, satisfaction and acceptability of telekinesiology interventions in people living with cancer. Principal investigators: Alain Steve Comtois (Université du Québec à Montréal), Paquito Bernard (Université du Québec à Montréal)
